CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!   I want to thank all the deer hunters who did a wonderful job being safe in the outdoors. According to the DNR, the season turned out to be a safer one that in years past. Only five hunting-related incidents were reported in the state this gun deer season, and there were NO FATALITIES. That compares to eight incidents in 2015 , including three fatalities. But just think of it this way, there was only five incidents with 575,000 licenses sold, and that's a really safe season. Can you see that many guns in a big city like Chicago or Milwaukee and what those numbers would look like. I guess it shows the real world that sportsmen and women are some of the safest people in this state. Thank you once again for using common sense and good safety practices.
