OUTDOOR NEWS: Next week the state will be celebrating
“EARTH DAY” all around the state. The DNR will be out with the public working
on the 9th annual Work ”Play” Earth Day events to be held around the
state. This year there is 31 properties holding events, up from 28 in 2016.
This year events will be held on April 21, 22, 29, and May 6. Volunteers
can join DNR Staff, local friends group members and people from nearby
communities to help repair and enhance park properties. Last year they had 825
volunteers participate in donating more than 2,640 hours of work. Hours vary by
event , but most begin either at 9 am or 10 am and run through noon or early
afternoon. For details search the DNR website for: “Work Play Earth

little outdoor work never hurts anyone. I can smell the fresh air already,
nature at its best.

NRA 146th ANNUAL MEETINGS & EXHIBITS
will be in Atlanta and it will be 15 acres of Guns and Gear in the NRA EVENT OF
THE YEAR. Sponsored by MidWay USA, the show ill open on April 27 to the 30,
2017 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. This will be the largest
NRA ANNUAL MEETINGS AND EXHIBITS ever. Just think of walking those 15 acres of
guns and hunting equipment all around you, man, I think I would of gone to
