Strawberry Creek Weir Report for October 19, 2017
The final Chinook salmon egg collection at Strawberry Creek for this season occurred on October 19, 2017. This was the sixth fish processing day at Strawberry Creek this fall, including October 2, 5, 9, 12, 16, and 19. Numbers of Chinook salmon processed each day respectively were 51, 632, 793, 1,285, 702, and 431 (total 3,894). Overall, 420 female Chinooks were spawned and over 2 million eggs collected. This was a successful spawning season, with decent numbers of Chinooks salmon and egg collection goals met.
