Tell Senator Baldwin to End Sanctuary Cities

President Trump promised to end sanctuary cities and the House of Representatives heard him loud and clear.

In late June, the House approved the No Sanctuary for Criminals Act (H.R. 3003) and Kate’s Law (H.R. 3004). These bills, passed with bipartisan majorities, strengthen public safety by combatting dangerous sanctuary policies and imposing tougher sentences on criminal aliens.

Outrageously, nearly three months later, the Senate has yet to take up these important bills. Why? Because Democrats like Senator Baldwin have threatened to filibuster both measures. In fact, Senate Democrats successfully blocked similar bills in 2015 and 2016.

It’s simple. Sanctuary cities that obstruct the federal government’s ability to enforce immigration laws needlessly endanger American lives and all too often result in preventable tragedies. It’s time to send a clear message to sanctuary cities that their dangerous policies are unacceptable. Tell Senator Baldwin to stop obstructing the passage of critical public safety reforms and end sanctuary policies once and for all.
