Deer Hunting Expo in Green Bay, WI for 2018 is now over as of Sunday. I really had a nice time and found that there were a lot of people there with their children and those kids seem to have some fun. One of the reasons I attended the show was to find out more information on the food plots I wanted to plant. Companies like Real Deal G 2 seeds, EXTREME Custom food Plots, Quality Habitat Solutions, Pro Plots, and HB Seed Company. Each one of these companies spent time to explain their products and the HB Seed Company spent the most time with me. Another organization I had an opportunity to meet was CHALLENGER THE OUTDOORS, INC. Disabled Sportspersons. HOME INSTEAD SENIOR CARE. Location at 901 Anderson Drive, Green Bay, WI 54304 They work with individuals with handicaps and try to make their lives a little bit more enjoyable at times. The Events and Outings they hold are the following: They have an Holiday Party, people bring a dish to pass around, plus they do bowling, play cribbage and just visit with people. The Archery Shoot is held at indoor range for all involved. Two Trout Fishing Events, (Spring & Fall). No fishing license is needed and the fish are cleaned and packaged for you. Pheasant Hunts, held at J & H Game Farm near Navarino. All terrain vehicles to transport hunters out to the fields and dogs and assistants are also available, with the birds are cleaned and bagged for the hunters. They also offer a DEER HUNT for Disabled Hunters during the first week of October. In the Spring time they offer a WILD TURKEY HUNT which is a two day event, with partners of the Clintonville Chapter of Shadows on the Wolf. They also have annual Shawano Lake Fishing Outing which is held during the first week of June to coincide with the DNR's Free Fishing Weekend. Once again everything is supplied for the handicapped. Each Summer they offer Salmon Fishing on Lake Michigan charter boats. Space is limited to disabled person only. To join them, the price is cheaper than a dinner for two. Individuals annual is $20, Family annual is $30, Individual Lifetime is $100 and a Family Lifetime is $150. This organization is a "not for profit" 501(C)(3) and was founded in 1998.
