The Wisconsin Hunter Education Instructor Association is hosting
its Annual Conference
April 28, 2018, Holiday Inn, Fond du Lac, WI.
This
invitation is to all Hunter Education Safety Instructors, Junior
Instructors and anyone interested in hunting. Theme of conference:
“The Time Is Now to Make HE Accessible to All”. Morning and evening
presentations by Dave Mahlke, NWTF, will cover the changing landscape of Hunting
and Hunter Education and what all of us need to do for the continuation and
survival of hunting and hunter education in Wisconsin and nationwide. If you
are concerned about the future of hunting and hunter education - now is the
time to get involved. Instructors attending will be re-certified and have the
opportunity to obtain Internet Certification. Interested in mentoring? An
educational track to become officially certified under the DNR’s new Mentor
Certification Program is being offered. This new program brings with it
insurance coverage like instructors have when conducting Hunter Safety
classes. The WHEIA conference is the only event of its kind in Wisconsin this
year. It is your opportunity to interact with your peers.
For more information about the conference and evening banquet, and to sign up, please go to the WHEIA website @ www.WHEIA.com or “Like” WHEIA on Facebook.
Editor's Note: If you are a Hunter Education Instructor, please consider joining the WHEIA group. Remember, the larger the number of instructors belonging to the WHEIA group, the more input you will have to get the State and Federal assistance. I know how much good this group does, I use to be a founding member of it, and they do a lot of good for all instructors.
