Nashville woman shoots boyfriend to protect her children

A north Nashville woman told police she was forced to shoot her boyfriend after he attacked her children on Saturday night. Police say the children corroborated the woman's complaint and had visible injuries. 


A new political advocacy group that vowed to put $5 million behind an effort to stop Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court has significant ties to the liberal financier George Soros.


Gun control advocates are hyperventilating over President Trump’s nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.


For Republican pro-Second Amendment Reps. Elise Stefanik and John Faso, Trump’s Supreme Court pick was an “excellent choice.”


Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said Saturday that the vetting process for the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court will be “incredibly difficult,’’ and that her staff is reading nearly 1 million documents that she said could give red-state Democrats reason to oppose his nomination.


Boulder County saw an increase in concealed carry permit holders in 2017, and the sheriff’s office said it has already seen an increase again so far in 2018.
