STATE OF WIS. WILL BE PLACED UNDER QUARANTINE FOR EMERALD ASH BORER STARTING ON MARCH 30, 2018.

Dear Forestry Stakeholders,
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) announced today that the entire state of Wisconsin will be placed under quarantine for emerald ash borer, effective Friday, March 30, 2018. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will continue to try to lessen the damages from this invasive beetle, in partnership with DATCP, by providing silviculture recommendations for ash management, continuing the release of biological control, and maintaining outreach and education about the hazards of moving firewood.
If you have questions about the movement of wood products within Wisconsin, please contact Tim Allen (DATCP) at 715-891-8158 or Timothy.Allen@wisconsin.gov.
