Fishing Report by Capt. Bruce Grossheim for VL Outdoor Media

Anglers are having good success on King Salmon and Brown trout coming up the rivers at this time. Using spawn,  spawn flies, small minnow baits ,and spinners.  Both the East Twin River to Mishicot and The West Twin River to Shoto has been producing fish. recent rains have also brought up more fish. Including the Manitowoc River. Dan Holtz of Manitowoc.  caught a 47 in King Salmon winning in the Fleet Farm Fishing Contest on Wisconsin's Woods and Waters, TV program with Gallespi.  Waterfowlers are getting good duck action in the marshes and rivers. Goose has been so so finding fields coming down. bean fields now ,soon corn. Early season was warm and a lot of fields still had crops up.  Bow hunters have been picky, filling antlerless tags, then having to run with the meat so it wont spoil. Some haven't even been out yet. Reports of some bucks chasing in Sheboygan County.  Early Youth deer hunters had success. Bryce Grossheim, Son of Rob Grossheim shot his first deer a five Pointer near Harpts Lake. Late afternoon evening have been seeing lots of deer out. careful driving, early morning too.
