Roger's Outdoor Notes

WALLEYE FEED OCTOBER 6TH FOR THE PUBLIC:  The Manitowoc UNIT of Manitowoc county Fish & Game has announced that it will again be hosting Manitowoc Fish & Game Family Fun Night on October 6th at Lincoln Park Cabin #1. The event will be a special fundraiser for the club that is considered one of the oldest conservation organizations in Wisconsin. Proceeds will support the club’s conservation and youth activities. The Manitowoc Unit is part of the Manitowoc County Fish & Game protective Association, representing 25 clubs in the county.  Club members and volunteers will be serving a fresh Walleye dinner with all the trimmings, coleslaw, potato salad, fresh potato chips, rye bread, coffee, desserts and beverages at the Lincoln Park location. Service will be from 4:30pm while the supplies last. Cost is $12.00 per plate and includes door prize drawings and other events. Carry out are available. Cabin #1 is part of the Lincoln Park Zoo property near the Piggly Wiggly supermarket. The Manitowoc unit meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month, are open to the public and begin with an educational speaker. A brief business meeting and lunch follow this. There is then a luncheon hosted by a club member. It is a great way to network with other sports enthusiasts and children are welcome. Annual membership is only $5.00 and supports a variety of local projects. Fish & Game has a new website at  www.mantyfg.org.  Any questions about the fish fry, please contact Geoffrey Wolf at 920-645-1046.  Hope to see all of you there.
