Dear Sportsperson: The suckers have not started their
run up stream yet, but with the rain we got Monday night, our conservation
warden just told me that she has been doing a stream watch and will contact me
the minute the run is on. The steelhead run will probably start at the same
time as the suckers due to the warmer water, but right now the air temps are
screwing up all the fishing. I will be attending a county wide meeting
tomorrow night and I will find out more from our fish manager and see what he
says. The rain on Monday night wasn’t really warm enough to jump start the
fishing. Some steelheads have been caught and you really need to work for them.
One of the spots is near the fire station and head down stream from the bend
