FINALLY SOME STUDENTS WHO UNDERSTAND THE CONSTITUTION AND THE 2ND AMENDMENT BUT THE MAIN MEDIA WILL NOT COVER THEM. WHY??
Florida Students Hold Walkout to Support 2A, Constitution
by S.H. BLANNELBERRY on APRIL 3, 2018

Chloe Deaton on the left. Anna Delaney on the right. The two students responsible for organizing the pro-Constitution walkout at Rockledge High School in Florida. Why aren’t they all over CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, NPR?
Funny how certain stories slip through the cracks and don’t garner the constant, 24/7 media attention that other stories do, right?
Part of it, sure, is money. Certain stories are stickier than others and will generate more clicks and attract more eyeballs. (Stormy Daniels is a cash cow that has CNN laughing straight to the bank. Do you know over 22 million people watched that Anderson Cooper interview on “60 Minutes”? Crazy.) Of course, another part of it is agenda. Certain stories don’t fit the mainstream media’s progressive agenda. They are flat out ignored or underreported.
Take, for instance, the 75 students at Rockledge High School in Brevard County who walked out of class last Friday in support of the Second Amendment and the Consitution. Why weren’t these intelligent young activists given the David Hogg and Emma Gonzalez treatment?
They may not have witnessed a school shooting but they are students, and what we do or don’t do as a country to address spree killers affects them as well. Moreover, they represent the other side of the debate. Isn’t it the media’s job to be fair and balanced, to tell both sides?
“It’s all over the news right now that all students hate guns. I wanted to show that not all students feel that way,” Zachary Schneider, a junior at Rockledge and one of the participants in the walkout, told Florida Today.

Sophmore Chloe Deaton and Junior Anna Delaney organized the 20-minute demonstration. They made it clear that it wasn’t a partisan event, rather it was simply a pro-Constitution rally.
“We were built on certain rights and that was one of the original rights, that we should have the right to bear arms,” Deaton told the group via loudspeakers.
“The Constitution does not say that government shall decree the right to keep and bear arms. The Constitution says ‘… the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed,'” Deaton added, repeating a quote President Reagan gave at an NRA banquet in 1983.
Deaton and Delaney expressed disappointment when the original school walkout on March 14 was framed as an anti-gun event. It was supposed to be a showing of solidarity for Parkland students, not a referendum on gun control.
“In the beginning, it started as a memorial to the Parkland students. And that’s how it should have stayed,” Deaton said.
No doubt that the mainstream media helped to reinforce the narrative that students were “walking out” for gun control last month. But these students at Rockledge prove that not every young person is on board with the notion that public safety is maximized through chipping away at the 2A to ultimately deny good people the right to defend themselves in the manner they see fit. It’s a great story. Too bad it won’t see the light of day.
LIES BY THE LEFT, MAKING CLAIMS THAT ARE MOSTLY FALSE. LIBERALS HARD AT WORK TO TAKE YOUR GUNS.
Gabrielle Giffords group claims gun-rights backer Paul Ryan has blocked all gun-control measures
By Tom Kertscher on Friday, April 6th, 2018 at 6:00 a.m.
After the Florida school shooting that left 17 people dead, news reports said U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan had thrown cold water on, and shown little interest in, new proposals for gun control.
But an attack on the Wisconsin Republican by Giffords PAC, a political action committee named for Gabrielle Giffords, went much further.
Ryan "has blocked all action to strengthen our gun laws," Giffords PAC claimed in an online ad released March 13, 2018.
As the House speaker since October 2015, Ryan holds one of the most powerful positions in Washington, although other lawmakers, such as committee chairs, have influence over the fate of legislation.
And all, of course, is an extreme word.
So, let’s see what the record shows on Ryan and gun laws during his time as speaker.
Giffords PAC
Giffords is a former Democratic U.S. House member from Arizona. In 2011, she was shot while meeting with constituents in Tucson. The shooter killed six people and wounded 13 others.
Giffords PAC describes itself as backing elected officials and candidates "who step up to fight the gun violence epidemic." Two weeks before releasing the Ryan ad, the PAC launched a campaign that included Ryan as one of six lawmakers on a #VoteThemOut list.
Two Democrats are running for the southern Wisconsin seat held by Ryan, who hasn’t yet announced whether he will run for re-election in November 2018.
The PAC’s evidence
To back its attack on Ryan, Giffords PAC cited a dozen pieces of gun legislation that were pending since Ryan became speaker. Here are five, each of which was referred to a House committee, but was not voted out of that committee for a vote by the full House:
Bill
|
Key provision
|
|---|---|
Reauthorize grants for improvements to the criminal history record system
| |
Prohibits sale of gun to person who is subject to restraining order
| |
Makes it crime to knowingly give/sell gun to person convicted of misdemeanor stalking
| |
Prohibits giving false or misleading material information in connection with a firearm purchase or transfer
| |
Ends prohibition on U.S. Department of Health and Human Services using federal funds to promote gun control
|
Giffords PAC argues that the bills were blocked by Ryan by virtue of the fact that the main power of the House speaker -- as explained by a Washington Post primer on House leadership -- "derives from his or her ability to determine what bills come to the floor for debate and a vote."
But the PAC provided no evidence that Ryan actually took steps to block the bills. And bills can be blocked by other lawmakers, such as committee chairs.
Now to whether there are gun measures that Ryan has not blocked.
Ryan’s response
To refute the attack, Ryan’s campaign organization cited three measures that passed the House:
Measure
|
Key provisions
|
|---|---|
The first two bills make no reference to guns, even if the school measure is aimed at fighting gun violence.
The other bill, however, did strengthen background checks, even if it it would also permit additional transportation of guns across state lines.
Ryan’s campaign also argued that Ryan has not stood in the way of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives from banning bump stocks -- which accelerate a gun’s firing speed -- with regulations using existing law.
But it’s not clear that ATF could do so without new legislation; indeed, the Justice Department has said it does not have the legal authority under current law to do so. And Ryan has indicated that the House would not take up a bill that would explicitly allow a ban.
Our rating
Giffords PAC says: "Paul Ryan has blocked all action to strengthen our gun laws."
The anti-gun violence political action committee cited a dozen gun-control measures that didn’t get to a vote in the House. So, it’s clear that Ryan did not move to bring those measures to the floor. But that’s not the same as Ryan himself blocking the measures, given that other lawmakers, such as committee chairs, also have such power.
Also, a bill that would strengthen background checks did pass the House -- although it also expanded gun rights, by making it legal for licensed concealed carry holders to bring guns across state lines.
We rate the statement Mostly False.

SPORT FISHING REPORT FROM THE DNR AND ROGER'S OUTDOOR NEWS
Kewaunee Co.
·
Kewaunee- There was a consistent amount of catch along Kewaunee
River late in the week and weekend. The pier and shore have seen little action.
The Kewaunee Ramp had opened on the 20th for the first day of spring, but a
thin layer of ice is now forming early in the morning making it tough on boats.
At the beginning of the week the Kewaunee River off of E was mostly frozen. It
cleared up by the end of the weekend and is now open. There have been no
catches reported. The Kewaunee River is shallow around Devil’s Bend, and the
steadiest work for steelhead has been around the south side of the bridge near
Besadny using both wax worms and spawn. 7-10 lb rainbows were caught at the
Horseshoe mid and late week. Monday evening’s drizzle did not carry on to
Tuesday as expected, and a crowded holiday spooked the trout around footbridge.
There was decent brown trout fishing on the Lake with water reported at 35 F
and the best luck on red and white color.
·
Algoma - The Algoma Ramp was busy mid-week with anglers catching
19”- 24” brown trout. The mornings were calm though an east wind would
frequently pick up in the evenings. The Forestville Dam has refrozen. As of the
weekend, both the Ahnapee River and Stoney Creek are open. Stoney Creek has ice
and snow flanking its sides and the water is low. Steelhead are able to swim
upstream making it easy to sight fish. There has been good luck with fly rods
using both spawn and beads. The most success was had in the pools right before
S and parallel to Kennedy. The mouth of Stoney was reported at 34F. There were
very little brown catches off of the Ahnapee and X. Steelhead anglers took in
rainbows late in the week off the Ahnapee and W. Main Street using spawn. Folks
are looking for a strong rain and turbid waters come mid-April.
·
Locations from Duck Creek up to Geano’s Beach are mostly still
ice covered with patchy open water. No anglers were observed at any of these
locations on the two days that were surveyed (Friday and Saturday).
·
Fox River – Water temperatures have been staying relatively
cool, approximately 41-44°F, which in turn has been keeping the walleyes in
deeper water. There has still been hundreds of shore anglers and boaters out
attempting to catch a trophy walleye. Fairgrounds and Fox Point saw high
numbers of boaters on the warmest days, along with shore anglers at Voyager.
Numerous Whitefish have been caught while shore angling at Voyager. Due to the
high size limit the few walleyes that were caught were then released.
·
·
MANITOWOC COUNTY:
Sucker run has not really started as of yet, but once the warmer weather and
some rain comes, should make the run happen. Steelheads are coming up
stream a little right now, but like the suckers, still slow fishing. Fishermen
are showing up at the EAST TWIN and WEST TWIN rivers near the
dams. In Mishicot you will find fishermen along the park side of the EAST TWIN
and downstream from the Fire Station.
