Roger's Outdoor Notes

OUTDOOR NEWS:  NRA-ILA DAILY ALERT as of 3-8-2017:  CALIFORNIA: Briefing completed in request for Supreme Court Review of Peruta Carry Case;   FLORIDA:  Sen. Anitere Flores turns on Law-abiding gun owners;  OKLAHOMA:  Legislative update on Pro-Gun bills;  ARKANSAS: Senate moves to bring Campus Carry to Floor-Action Needed;  IDAHO:  Hose Passes concealed carry amendment;  ARIZONA: Pro-Gun legislation passed the Senate last week;  WISCONSIN:  Senate Unanimously Passes Pro-Carry Legislation;  CONNECTICUT: Police, Lawmakers want gun carriers to show permit if asked;  MARYLAND:  Bill would dissolve concealed-carry permit review board;  IOWA:  House debates stand your ground, gun-free zones before passing sweeping gun bill;  NEW JERSEY: Lawmakers vow to fight new rules that loosen gun carry rules;  NEW YORK: Attorney General announced $44,000 in fines for toy gun sales;  WISCONSIN: Supreme Court approves passengers exercising their Right-to-Carry on Madison buses;  ARKANSAS: NRA working with Pro-Gun legislators to amend campus carry legislation;  7th CIRCUIT OF APPEALS: said to lower court and to Chicago: Stop foot-dragging on our gun ranges decision, ( 3 Chicago regulations governing the siting and operation of firing ranges).  NOTE:  No need to panic over concealed carry: Concealed Carry has been around for years, so we know what is going on. The data show that concealed carry license holders have crime rates so low it is hard to measure. (Hey Legislators, something to think about the next time you hear anti-gun people whine.) FIREARM OWNERS SHOULDN’T BE FORCED TO BUY LIABILITY INSURANCE, yet in other states the gun control policy fails to address the fundamental problem stemming from violence involving firearms.
