WISCONSIN WATERFOWL ASSN. NEEDS YOUR HELP NOW !!!

APRIL 2018

Welcome Back to Winter
Don Kirby, Executive Director, 262.224.4949

Thanks for taking a few minutes to update yourself on what's happening with our association. This weekend's incredible snow storm (about 25" here at my place, I've heard maybe 33" at Abrams) will certainly set back project work in this area of the state, and caused Tom and Mike to cancel their Madison Sporting Clays Shoot on Saturday. I've not heard from them as to whether we can have another date at the same venue in early May, or not as of yet.

There's been some incredible work going on this spring already, at a bunch of different AWA sites, check out the update below. If you're interested in learning more about how you could assist one of the current teams, or to potentially explore one by you, let us know, we can get you in touch with the right people.

My biggest call-out for this month's note is the truck raffle. We've got more than 1000 tickets out in the hands of sellers, but they are fairly concentrated  in just a few areas. If you, or others in your chapter committee would like to try helping sell out this raffle, please let me know - I can get you ticket packets. There's a pretty terrific prize package for someone out there, who can get them sold out by the end of July. August will be here before we know it, and this raffle has the potential to really make a huge difference in our finances, particularly with the loss of the Nutro sponsorship, as that company transitions following another buy-out and restructuring. Thanks for everyone's help in making this Calendar counter-point come to fruition!

Speaking of the Calendar Raffle - it seems that team is rolling right along for the 2019 edition. Ads are sold out, the gun listing is complete, Scheels has stepped into the Cabela's role for this year, and images have been selected. It appears we are well on pace for printing to begin by mid-May, which will keep us on track for an early July release.

That's it for now - there's plenty more to read in this update, so I'll let you get to it. Thanks, as always, for everything you do for WWA...
