OUTDOOR NEWS:   The June meeting of the Manitowoc Unit of the County Fish & Game will be meeting on June 1st, 2017 at Lincoln Park, Cabin #1 in Manitowoc. This is the regular monthly meeting of the membership and is OPEN to the Public. Meeting starts promptly at 7:00 pm. Guest Speaker for the June meeting is CABELA’S of Green Bay and will cover Youth involvement in the outdoors, what Cabela’s offers the public in education about the outdoors, Community projects, and what educational issues are covered by Cabela’s stores to inform the public about the outdoors. The Public is welcome to attend the meeting and presentation. A lunch and refreshments follow this.

The Manitowoc Unit is one of over 25 organizations that make up Manitowoc County Fish & Game Protective Assn. in Manitowoc County. Founded in 1907, the organization is recognized as one of the oldest conservation organization in Wisconsin and the Mid-West. The organization works to protect the rights of sporting men and women and promotes conservation and related education. The Manitowoc Unit meets the First Thursday of each month and meetings are open to the public. Those interested in the outdoors and especially youth are encouraged to attend these meetings.
