Future of Hunter Education Main- Still Time to Register for the WHEIA Annual Conference!
Fond du Lac, WI
On May 6th, 2017 the Wisconsin Hunter Education Instructor Association (WHEIA) will be meeting at the Holiday Inn in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.  “The goal of the conference is to bring experts and volunteer adult and junior instructors together to discuss the future direction of Hunter Education in Wisconsin,” according to John Janik, President of WHEIA.  The association works hand in hand with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources which administers the course to the public that volunteer instructors teach to citizens throughout the state.  Instructors who attend the event will be active participants in topics such as “How to best direct your efforts at delivering a better class to your students.” Attendees will also be a part of a panel discussion on the future of Hunter Education with statewide experts in the field of hunter recruitment, retention, and reintroducing people of all ages to the outdoors and hunting.
The WHEIA conference is the only event of its kind in Wisconsin this year. “We encourage all adult and junior instructors to attend and be part of reshaping the future of Hunter Education,” says Janik.
For more information about the conference and evening banquet, or to sign up, please go the WHEIA website @ www.WHEIA.com, or “Like” WHEIA on Facebook.
