FISHING NEWS: IT’S HERE FINALLY, THE 2017 STURGEON
SPAWNING RUN ON WOLF RIVER. Fish are currently spawning at the Sturgeon Trail
in New London and Bamboo Bend in Shiocton. DNR crews will be tagging fish at
these two locations and both are publicly accessible. If you plan to come see
the sturgeon spawn this spring, The DNR suggests making plans to come to one of
these two locations within the next couple of days. Peak spawning activity
typically only takes place for a day or two at a given site, so don’t wait to
long.
