We currently have tools online with more information regarding CWD, including a brochure we’ve created to help hunters understand how they can help minimize the risk in spreading of CWD.
We need your help to collect sample for CWD testing – consider submitting your deer this fall. DNR staff collect samples for no cost at select locations throughout the state. For more information regarding CWD and the DNR’s efforts to respond to and manage this disease, visit www.dnr.wi.gov and search keyword, “CWD.” For more in-depth information regarding Chronic Wasting Disease, visit the Chronic Wasting Disease Alliance website.
Wisconsin is a safe place to hunt, thanks to you!
Always remember TABK:
  • Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
  • Always point the muzzle in a safe direction.
  • Be certain of your target and what is beyond it.
  • Keep your finger outside the trigger guard until ready to shoot.
