Roger's Outdoor Notes

FISHING NEWS:   Well the second weekend of the 2017 Sturgeon Spearing Season came to an end. A total of 17 fish were taken, 14 coming from Lake Winnebago and 3 more from the Upriver Lakes. Largest fish taken today was a 132.2 pounds and registered at Calumet Harbor. Starting Monday the 20th, only 3 registration stations will be open. Stockbridge Harbor will be one and the DNR Asylum Bay Fisheries HQ will be for Lake Winnebago and Critter’s will be for the Upriver Lakes. Remember fishermen, make sure the ice you are traveling on or walking on is safe enough to hold you, as this warmer than normal temps are killing ice conditions on all lakes and rivers, around the state.
