great time to get new people out on the water to try fishing. No license
is needed to fish anywhere in the state. Applies to Wisconsin residents
and nonresidents alike.

Fish for Premium Species Without a
Stamp
Free Fishing Weekend is a great time to try fishing
for premium species including inland trout and Great Lakes trout and
salmon. Normally, anglers need to buy a stamp in addition to a fishing
license to fish for these species. On those free fun days, however, you
do not need a license to fish anywhere and you do not need a stamp.
