stocks and raising the legal age to 21 for purchasing firearms and munitions.

Conference of Mayors passed a series of resolutions calling for more gun
control measures during the group's annual meeting in Boston this week.

not shaping up to be a deterrent, either to the criminals who ignore it, nor
to the lawmakers who feel compelled to improve upon it. There is no evidence

like criminals.

Fairfax, Va.— The
National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA) today
announced support for a lawsuit brought by the Association of New Jersey
Rifle & Pistol Clubs (ANJRPC) to challenge New Jersey’s ban on so-called
“high capacity” magazines.

The National Rifle
Association scored a significant victory on behalf of law-abiding gun owners
with the issuance of a temporary restraining order in the case of Guns
Safe Life, Inc. v. Village of Deerfield. The temporary restraining
order issued by the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court for Lake County,
Illinois bars the Village of Deerfield’s enforcement of an
ordinance that bans possession of certain firearms and prohibits possession
of ammunition magazines that are standard for many of the nation’s most
common handguns and rifles.
